Marathon 206
The 206 is the first 4-wheeled carriage that Matts built which has evolved over time but remains an outstanding recreational and training carriage. Equipped with rubber torsion bar suspension front and back, plus rear disk brakes, the 206 is extremely manoeverable and very comfortable, especially so when equipped with optional air wheels. The wheels give excellent traction in deep sand of arenas or in mud or conditions where thinner, rubber rimmed wheels would sink. One of our customers says it’s the first to be used in the spring and the last into the winter. The 206 can be used in Training and Prelim level competition – but not with air wheels. The basic model comes equipped with an adjustable bench seat. The next version includes fixed back seats while the Elegance includes wood paneling and an extended back step and the possibility of adding a pole. It can also be ordered as a longer version with seating for 4 on the back. The seats are not removable as on the 207 series. Available from A/B pony to horse size it can be ordered for a pair or team. Call for details about the many options available on this adaptable, sturdy carriage.

Marathon 207 CD
The CD 207 is our most popular carriage, because it is elegant enough to do well in dressage and has all the speed, extra stablity and safety features that make it the carriage of choice for many top drivers in Europe.  This means you can forget about needing a second carriage for dressage and cones (and the larger trailer, etc) until you move up to Advanced level competition, at which point you would require a wider wheel base for dressage. The 207 has torsion bar springs up front, to allow for the swingle tree to be very deeply inset, bringing the horse as close to the carriage as regulations allow (and making the whole package shorter for tighter turns in the hazards/cones).  It has custom made leaf springs in the back (smoother ride still), canted wheels to give extra stablity, and the rubber on the rims is shaved so that only about 1/4" actually touches the ground. It comes with the wood panelling, optional marathon or bench seat, which is adjustable forward and back, has a 5th wheel brake, removable (optional) back seats and is designed so that most of the weight is in the undercarriage, - one of the reasons for the way these carriages hug the ground.

Marathon 207 X-treme
Some people say this is the fastest carriage in the world. Tidaholm can’t take all the credit .. the whip and the horse have something to contribute but with the record shows that the X-treme is winning against the best in their class. Ben Simonsen, FEI Top Driver in 2004 and bronze medal winner at the Worlds the same year, has been driving this carriage for many years and has had a lot to with the innovations introduced along the way. In North America, the X-treme is being used at all levels of competition with marked success. Not only is Sterling Graburn, NA FEI Top Driver, singles, driving the Xtreme as of July 2005, but so are a growing number of training, preliminary and advanced drivers across the continent. This is the stripped version of the CD 207 – 30 pounds lighter, streamlined for increased speed, but extremely stable. If you are used to a heavier carriage, your navigator will need to adapt to what is a very responsive vehicle. Despite its lightness and the ease with which you can move it around hazards and lift it over obstacles, the lower center of gravity and design of the back step helps to keep you grounded. We have nothing but rave reviews for this extraordinarily fast but stable carriage.

207 CD Pair Carriage (Horse)
This carriage has benefited from years of testing and innovation by one of the world’s top pair drivers, Yngve Kall, 7 time National Swedish pairs champion. The carriage comes with front and rear brakes, triple leaf elliptical springs custom made for Tidaholm, outside tree guard over all wheels, canted rear wheels for extra stability, removable extended back step for ease of transport and weighs in at just over 800 lbs to meet FEI standards. Front wheels higher than rear to lower centre of gravity. Canted wheels, special alloy used in wheels and axles.

207 CD Pair Carriages (Pony)
This low slung, fast and exceptionally well-balanced carriage is the pair version of our CD 207. It features an adjustable bench seat, delayed steering, front and rear brakes, triple leaf springs front and back, special tree guard extends over all wheels, 5th wheel brake and removable back step.

Gigg 213 - Elegance

A gigg is a two-wheeled cart with the driver’s seat higher than the level of the shafts.  Tidaholm offers three different models, ranging from the lightest for A-B ponies, a second built for C-D ponies to the Gigg Elegance, featured here. The Gigg can be used for training or show, depending on options selected.  They are suitable for a horse or pony driven single or tandem. All 3 come equipped with a crank at the back which allows for balancing of the body of the carriage over the axle, depending on the load and size of horse or pony.  Brakes and a back stand and breaks are optional. The Gigg Elegance comes with wood spindles and paneling, break, storage box under the seat, lamp holders and reflectors. Lamps extra.
